I couldn’t wait to get started with Consumed, I was looking forward to seeing what happened next with Harlow as Iain was now in prison because of his and Harlow’s relationship. Harlow was now living with Jenna and going to University. In comes Jax Walker, OMG he is an Adonis and most girls are falling over themselves trying to get to him.

He seems to have taken a liking towards Harlow although, she has built even more walls after learning that Iain has been released but not contacted her. She is still in love with him, how could she possibly entertain the idea of seeing someone else?

She also makes an unlikely friend in Crimson, red hair, red name, is was a little weird but Harlow felt a bit sorry for her.

This book sees the characters more mature as it is about 2-3 years later. It brings up some ghosts that Harlow was trying to forget, and a frightening experience too. No wonder she has trust issues, and just when she lets Jax in, guess who turns up…Iain. What will happen with that? well you will have to read the book to find out.

Overall this book deals with a lot of different issues some which are quite horrible experiences but it all makes a compelling read and helps you bond with the characters.

I have really loved this series. I hope there is a third book in the works.
