Brooks is baseball's oldest virgin and has just been traded from his home team in New York to the Cooper Valley Fireballs, baseballs worst team in the league. The team is under new management and are hoping to keep the team in Cooper Valley instead of being sold and moved. In an effort to get more fan interaction, they have created a mascot competition to replace the current mascot, Fiery the Dragon. Mackenzie is the Fireball's biggest and most superstitious fan and will do anything to help the Fireballs win. Mackenzie starts a "Save Fiery" campaign and will stop at nothing to save Fiery. Mackenzie knows about Brooks' secret and is determined to make sure he does not score off the baseball field so she does everything that she can to jock-block him. The problem with her plan is that she now has to spend time with him and the more time she spends with Brooks the more Mackenzie realizes that she likes him and that he is more than just a baseball god, he is a person who likes her quirkiness.

Mascot competition, a hilarious dog collar, Fiery Forever and Bacon Nutella Pancake Sandwiches!!!! Brooks and Mackenzie are awesome together and I just totally loved their story. The chemistry between them got steamier the more time they spent together. Coco Puff and his collar had me in stitches and is a great addition to the Pippa Verse pets. There are so many great supporting characters as always. Jock Blocked will have you laughing so hard you will have tears in your eyes and your stomach will hurt and you will not be able to put it down. Pippa Grant is a genius and her books just keep getting better and better. She is my go-to rom-com writer as I always know I will laugh to the point of tears while reading her work. I am looking forward to her next book and am really hoping that we get Cooper Rocks' book soon! A must-read for all!
