Each of the twenty-six authors featured in this anthology were given the same first sentence. Where they took that first sentence was completely up to them.

Every story is different.
No story is related.
The only thing these stories have in common is their starting point.

All of the authors showcased in this anthology were featured in The Bookworm Box charity during 2019.

Each author has graciously donated their story so that 100% of profits from this anthology will be going to the various charities The Bookworm Box is able to support because of you, the readers.

One More Step is an anthology where each novella starts with the same sentence - I thought it was a cool concept - similar to the one Jana Aston had with her anthology Lost in Transit, where each author had to include one paragraph that was the same.

There were several of the novellas that could have done with at least one more round of editing, and some that were so short I just got into the story before it was over.

Of course, the fact that the proceeds are donated to charity is a good thing - and I never thought of stopping to read, so I did enjoy myself enough to finish.
