Initial Thoughts

I was a little disappointed after reading the last book. Plus we still haven’t gotten to Genovia yet. So my expectations were lower going into this one.

My New BFF

I liked Mia a lot more in this book. She was less whiny and started to grow up a little I think. I’m not really a big fan of her relationship with Lily’s brother (I can’t even remember his name right now). I don’t find him a very interesting character and I can just tell that him and Mia won’t be together forever. Which is fine, but I’d like Mia to be a little more interesting.

My Crush

Still no crushes yet in this book. Can we have a decent male character please?!

Writing Style

Her writing picked up for sure in this book. The plot was more interesting and the characters are starting to develop more. I’m hoping that it picks up a little more quickly now to keep me interested.

Closing Thoughts

I enjoyed this book as much as the first two. Let’s just not talk about the third one. It doesn’t exist to me. So far I’m really enjoying this series and I’m looking forward to continuing. It’s a little weird reading these books as an adult but I can remember when some of Mia’s thoughts went through my head. It’s kind of fun remembering when you were that young. I’m really looking forward to the next book and hopefully some more Genovia!
