Just One Night by Gayle Forman

Just One Night (Just One Day)

by Gayle Forman

From the international bestselling author of If I Stay. Now a major film starring Chloe Grace Moretz.

Everything will happen in just one night . . .

After spending one life-changing day in Paris with laid-back Dutch actor Willem De Ruiter, sheltered American good girl Allyson “Lulu” Healey discovered her new lover had disappeared without a trace.

Just One Day followed Allyson’s quest to reunite with Willem; Just One Year chronicled the pair’s year apart from Willem’s perspective. Now, back together at last, this delectable e-novella reveals the couple’s final chapter. Perfect for fans of John Green and David Levithan.

Just One Night was an adorable ending to Allyson and Willem's story! I was quite happy with the end of Just One Year, but I was still curious as to what came next for them once Allyson appeared at the door. I do think it could have gone either way: them talking, and being together, or them talking and finding closure before moving on. Of course, I would have preferred the former since they went through so much to find one another! I'm sure you can guess which road they took.

Just One Night just made me really happy. Even once they've found each other, it's not as simple as just sitting down and sharing what happened over the past year. Life must go on! Willem has to meet with his director and he has another performance to complete. Then all of their friends want to meet, since they know all about their journey to reunite. There's so much tension since Allyson and Willem just want to be alone together, but they also don't care because they are together! I'm just really happy for both of them, since I felt like I've come to know them through those two books.
