by Jonathan Swift

The author offers statistical support for his assertions and gives specific data about the number of children to be sold, their weight and price, and the projected consumption patterns. I had started reading this little collection a while back and figured it was time to get back to it. 'A Modest Proposal' was the only essay that I really enjoyed in this book. I found the others a little tedious and inaccessible, probably due to the fact that they were written in the 18th century.

Anyway, on to the next Little Black Classics book, which I hope to enjoy more than this one.
