I loved this forbidden love story. It was so emotion-filled and the characters were so well written. Both Oakley, a tomboy, and Arturo, a Ute Native American, have many problems in their life but their love for each other changed so much. The only problem is they come from different worlds and cultures. This story takes place in 1889 so it has the old west feel of battling the wilderness, prejudice, and vicious outlaws. There is a theme of redemption and forgiveness that applies to many of the characters.

If you want to read a novel with a lot of adventure, angst, and a wonderful romance, The Paradox of Love will make another great book to put on your list.
