This book is set 5 years after the first book. Ellie and Joe are happily married and life in the castle is going well. Ellie and Joe have decided that its time to grow their little family and this is proving much more difficult than they planned. I really felt for Ellie and it was heartbreaking to read some of the scenes.
As well as running the teashop Ellie also organises and caters weddings at the castle. I really loved all the wedding scenes and I couldn’t help but well up at some of them, especially the Christmas wedding (I’m welling up now just thinking about it). The scenes are so well written that you feel like they are your own friends and family and you really feel the importance of this wedding day to the couples. The bridezilla scenes made me laugh but also so angry. Caroline has a way of making you so invested in all the main characters you feel all their emotions.
I have to say I loved this book. It was so great to be back with Ellie, Joe and the rest of the castle staff. It was also great to see what a success Ellie had made of the teashop and now weddings too. I hope we see more from Caroline soon.
