Play by Kylie Scott

Play (Stage Dive, #2)

by Kylie Scott

"Kylie Scott returns with the highly anticipated follow-up to international bestseller LICK. Mal Ericson, drummer for the world famous rock band Stage Dive, needs to clean up his image fast--at least for a little while. Having a good girl on his arm should do the job just fine. Mal doesn't plan on this temporary fix becoming permanent, but he didn't count on finding the one right girl. Anne Rollins never thought she'd ever meet the rock god who plastered her teenage bedroom walls--especially not under these circumstances. Anne has money problems. Big ones. But being paid to play the pretend girlfriend to a wild life-of-the-party drummer couldn't end well. No matter how hot he is. Or could it?"--

I absolutely loved this story. I read and loved Lick and was glad that Play was as good if not better than the first. I started reading Play and struggled to remember all the previous characters, so I did a quick skim of Lick and I was all ready to go.

Anne has had some really rough times with heaps of responsibility piled on her plate from a very young age. Unfortunately people take advantage of Anne and she hasn't learnt to say no.

Mal is the drummer in a band that is famous and he enjoys the pleasures involved with his fame. He receives news involving his family that has unsettled his happy and carefree life.

Anne and Mel meet at a very crucial time in both their lives. Mal comes up with the wonderful idea of having a fake relationship which will solve both their problems.

Anne goes along with this plan stipulating that sex can't be involved. She know only heartbreak will come from their 'relationship'.

They learn to support and help each other through their difficulties by opening up to each other.

This book made me laugh, cry and fan myself from the heat between these two.

Another great story by Ms Scott and I will definitely be reading more by this author.
