This is the first and I hope only Mia Sheridan book that I could not finish reading. The use of "witch" and "dragon" was off-putting and didn't jive with the characters for me. I never connected to this book or it's characters like I normally do with her books. I was really looking forward to disappearing into this book, as I normally do, but it just didn't happen for me, so I gave up.
