How would you feel if you were living your life for the past however many years, when you meet a new person who triggers memories of a different life in a different era of time? Confused and frustrated are only some of the feelings Lizzie Davenport feels when it happens to her. She had a perfectly good life - she had a best friend who cared, and a boyfriend she has known for a long time. What more does a girl need? Never mind, don’t answer that.

Anyways, when Lizzie meets Drew, she life starts to spin out of control. She starts having feelings for him...and he starts dating her best friend. To make things even worse, things with her boyfriend aren't going that great. Lizzie has no idea what to do or what is happening. She doesn't understand the flashbacks she is getting. Only when she puts all the pieces together, she discovers things aren't what they seem and a wrong turn could mean the end of her current life.

I really enjoyed reading this book. Sure the love triangle problems don’t usually appeal to me, but that is what makes a lot of things interesting in this book. Without it, the book would be a bit boring. I never thought I’d say this, but the book needed the love triangle. Another thing is that it isn't everyday that you get to read a book about a girl with a past life that has the chance to change her destiny in her current one. What makes it interesting is that she has lived and remembers a life from a different time, but she can’t travel through time. What happened in the past cannot be changed, but the future can.

REMEMBRANCE tells a captivating a story that I will definitely remember for a long time.

I would recommend REMEMBRANCE for people who enjoy reading books that ask the questions: 1) Can love really withstand the test of time? and 2) Can we learn from our mistakes from the past to better our future?
