This sequel to Borrowed Light is a good read, but not one I would read again. Even though the characters are established, they sometimes got on my nerves. I wish that they would call each other by their real names at least a few times in the book. There are also more sexual innuendos than I feel comfortable with for a book about an LDS couple. I also wish that there had been more storyline with the supporting characters. In this 2nd book there should have been more given to them, especially my favorite character Doc. If you did read the 1st book you will like reading the sequel, just to see how Julia recovers from the trauma she endured from the fire at the end of the first book. It was nice in this sequel to wrap up a few "things" that carried over from the 1st book.
