First, I want to thank the author who sent me an eBook copy of this!

The description of the book when I first read it sounded pretty interesting, I like the idea of normal kids having secret powers. But after reading this book, there is a whole lot more to it than that, and it was awesome!

It starts out with Luke having a vision of his twin sister Sera dying. Although his visions have always been right, he tries desperately to find clues, so he can keep her safe. As the story progresses he gets more pieces to the puzzle, but he keeps it from her as he wants to do this on his own and not endanger her any more.

Sera has the ability to heal, and she seems like a very kind person. She goes out of her way to make others feel better, whether it be from a wound, or to calm their feeling of stress or anger and such. But because of an incident that happened when she was younger she has very few friends and she doesn’t want anyone else to find out about her and her brother.

And then there are the other characters: Fey who is the twins’ best friend, Jonas the mysterious stranger, and Marc who happens to befriend them and take a liking to Sera. And they’re not quite normal either, but they definitely help the twins along in their own ways.

This story was told through the eyes of different characters per chapter, and I liked the idea of getting to see through their own perspectives. Fey was one of my favourites, and Marc was awesome too. I also felt sorry for the guy, what he had to deal with personally through this book. There are many more paranormal elements involved in this story like Vampires, Faeries, and other such creatures hinted at. It was an interesting spin on the paranormal and I’m glad I got a chance to read this. If you want to know more about this book, go get a copy!

The ending wrapped up a lot of things, but then you get to meet some new people briefly, and now I can’t wait to hear news on when there will be a second one! I would recommend this for anyone who likes young adult books with a paranormal aspect to it.
