Josh and Hazel's Guide to Not Dating

by Christina Lauren

Just friends. Just friends. JUST FRIENDS. If they repeat it enough, maybe it'll be true . . .

Hazel Camille Bradford knows she's a lot to take - and frankly, most men aren't up to the challenge. If her army of pets and taste for the absurd don't send them running, her lack of filter and tendency to say exactly the wrong thing will. Their loss. Not everyone can handle a Hazel.

Josh Im has known Hazel since college. From the first night they met - when she gracelessly threw up on his shoes - to when she sent him an unintelligible email while in a post-surgical haze, Josh has always thought of Hazel more as a spectacle than a peer. But now, ten years later, after a cheating girlfriend has turned his life upside down, going out with Hazel is a breath of fresh air.

Not that Josh and Hazel date. At least, not each other. Because setting each other up on progressively terrible double blind dates means there's nothing between them . . . right?

New York Times and #1 international bestselling author Christina Lauren (Roomies, Beautiful Bastard) tells the laugh-out-loud, uplifting story of two people who are completely wrong for each other - in all the right ways.

Ok, I get why everyone is upset about the ending and last couple of chapters. I didn't rated it 3 starts because of it though.

This is basically a love story without a love story. Girl meets guy, girl embarrasses herself multiple times in front of the guy, they meet 7 years later and become friends (because she's his sister's bff), they forced to live together, they set each other up to go on double dates... This is basically New Girl fanfic except Josh owns ortho practice instead of a bar and not as quirky as Nick. And if New Girl dragged its ending, JnH was too quick. Also slow burn didn't work out in this one unfortunately.
Didn't hated it, didn't love it. Solid 3 enjoyable stars.
