Bait Shop Blues by Nancy Pirri

Bait Shop Blues

by Nancy Pirri

Watch sparks fly when a loner alpha male meets a beautiful, independent and smart city girl. What does a businesswoman from Chicago want with a bait shop in northern Minnesota, willed to her by her grandfather? How will the reclusive, current owner convince the woman to sell out her half of the shop to him? For Cassandra Thompson, a Marilyn Monroe look-alike, it could mean a well-needed change of life. For Leif Halverson, a handsome man of Ojibwe extraction, and co-owner of the shop, falling in love could mean disaster. Leif hates this city woman invading his territory, so he challenges her to a wilderness survival contest...where the winner takes all.

Cassandra lives in Chicago and has her own business, "Pretty Woman Cosmetics." Leif has lived with Roy for most of his life but now Roy has passed on and Leif finds out that Roy has a grand daughter and he has left Gateway to Paradise, a bait shop, they ran together to be shared between him and Cassandra his grand daughter. This does not sit well with Leif and when Cassandra arrives to check out her inheritance he does everything he can to encourage her to sell her half to him and return to Chicago. This book was a great read and a sweet romance with lots of humor.
