I’ve been looking forward to the second issue of Sleepwalker. Not having read much of Sleepwalker’s exploits, I wasn’t sure I’d end up enjoying this series, but so far I have. Though I should confess that part of the reason I’ve been devouring it is in hopes of seeing more hints of Razor or Chris Powell. I keep hoping that the more we see those characters, the more likely we are to see a reboot of Darkhawk (hey, can’t blame a girl for hoping!).
Sleepwalker has proven to be interesting on its own though, even without considering my not-so-secret hopes and obsessions. I love that he’s the one perspective we have that is truly unaffected by what was done during Infinity Wars. The way he’s been traveling has been intriguing as well.
The plot didn’t focus solely on Sleepwalker, instead taking a little side quest with his new traveling partner; Scott Banner. I find this combination endlessly amusing, so I’ve been happy for any excuse to see them.
I feel like this issue showed more combinations than the other issues that came out this week, but that’s likely due simply to how many I recognized (as opposed to having glossed over). Plus it did show more of the characters that Scott and Bruce would know, so I suppose they really could have shown us more. I couldn’t even begin to name all of them, but I’m tempted to try.
