Italian Affair was cute! Brianna has been trying to locate her birth mother, only to be notified that she's recently deceased. Then she gets a letter from a lawyer in Italy saying that she has until the end of the month to claim her inheritance: a cottage. This is Brianna's chance to finally learn about her mother and her family, but there's one small problem. She only gets the cottage if she's married! Luckily, there's a handsome man in the seat next to her who happens to be traveling to the same place, and a fake fiancee would certainly help him out, too.

I love fake relationships turned real and Italian Affair is a good one! Brianna and Tomas get off to a bit of a rough start, because she's a bit scatterbrained and chatty while he's a bit more uptight. But the two get to talking and he's willing to help her out. At least at first when she just needs a translator and a fake fiance, but he also pulls through when she does need to get married! They live together for a few months, he helps her get on track to meet the deadline for her new book, and she helps him loosen up and have fun. It's no wonder they wind up falling in love for real!

Italian Affair was just a quick, pleasant read. I enjoyed the romance, and actually loved how Tomas is the one to say no sex! And Brianna respects that even though she does want it, but she'll wait for him to come to her. It's always nice to see gender norms flipped. I also liked seeing Brianna get to know her Italian family, although she does learn some things that are upsetting. I'm also glad that there was no stupid fight!
