The first rule of book club:
You don't talk about book club.

Braden Mack thinks reading romance novels makes him an expert in love, but he'll soon discover that real life is better than fiction.

Liv Papandreas has a dream job as a sous chef at Nashville's hottest restaurant. Too bad the celebrity chef owner is less than charming behind kitchen doors. After she catches him harassing a young hostess, she confronts him and gets fired. Liv vows revenge, but she'll need assistance to take on the powerful chef.

Unfortunately, that means turning to Braden Mack. When Liv's blackballed from the restaurant scene, the charismatic nightclub entrepreneur offers to help expose her ex-boss, but she is suspicious of his motives. This is a job for the Bromance Book Club.

Inspired by the romantic suspense novel they're reading, the book club assists Liv in setting up a sting operation to take down the chef. But they're just as eager to help Mack figure out the way to Liv's heart...even though she's determined to squelch the sparks between them before she gets burned.

Undercover Bromance is the 2nd book in the Bromance Book Club series. Mack, the nightlife king of Nashville, knows all about romancing a lady. However, he doesn't understand love. Mack's brashness was a little over the top at times, but he has some deep hurt that he has been hiding for years. As he opens up, he becomes less fun time guy and more grown up man.

Liv is Thea's sister (from The Bromance Book Club) and is a pastry chef. After discovering her boss was sexually harrassing coworkers, she is fired. Liv being the no nonsense woman she is, won't just let it go. She is determined to prove that her boss is deserves to be in prison.

Liv and Mack have a touch of hate-to-love-to-hate-to-love vibe. Liv is a justice warrior and she sees the world in black and white. Lying is bad, period. Mack has spend his life lying about his father. You can imagine that just as these two start to fall in love, that lie comes out and it's back to hate. These two have lots of great banter-they love to argue!

Liv's fervent desire to ensure that no other women suffer at her former boss's hands was probably my favorite part of this story. Even the girl who was assaulted didn't want to press charges, but Liv can't let this go. The empowerment that Liv pushes for in Undercover Bromance is such a great message.

Of course, there are the bromance bookclub guys to provide support, a bit of comic relief, and, when necessary, muscles! Undercover Bromance (and the whole series) is a perfect blend of tough topics and funny events.
