-Timeline issues. Elliot was going to take Seylah to the town picnic on Sunday, in two days. The next chapter starts with "It was Monday afternoon..." Then the next chapter starts with Seylah talking to her sister about the upcoming picnic.
-Elliot completely disappears and is NEVER mentioned again after August makes his intentions known. Rude.
