American Prince by Sierra Simone

American Prince (New Camelot, #2)

by Sierra Simone

It starts with a stolen kiss under an English sky, and it ends with a walk down the aisle. It starts with the President sending his best friend to woo me on his behalf, and it ends with my heart split in two. It starts with buried secrets and dangerous desires…and ends with the three of us bound together with a hateful love sharper than any barbed wire.

My name is Greer Galloway, and I serve at the pleasure of the President of the United States.

This is the story of an American Queen.

It's been a few days since I've finished AMERICAN PRINCE. I can tell you, my feeling about this book haven't changed since I wrote this on Goodreads, "What in the ever loving f*ck! Holy Hell, Batman! I'm speechless!".

A lot of things happen in this second book. Focusing mainly on Embery and Greer's POV, we get into the head of our Little Prince...and let me tell you being in there sometimes made it a little hard. Past Embery was someone I could understand. His tough choices, no matter how hard it was on him personally. But present Embery left me with my mouth hanging open wondering what the hell he was thinking.

There was on thing that seemed to stick out to me as Ash, Embery and Greer try to navigate through the events that happen during this book. It's faith. Faith in themselves, each other and their relationship. Given the kind of relationship these three have, you have to have that. And when one of your parents loses that faith you wonder how they're ever going to recover.

Sierra Simone pushes readers in this story as she pushes her characters to the brink. I was left wondering what had happened and if there was any way this threesome could get back to where they were on their wedding night. My heart broke from Ash and Greer while at the same time wanting to shake Embery. I'm hoping as we move to the final book these three find their faith in each other and get back what they so desperately want.
