"Chapter 1 presents a brief overview of Advent and why it is important. Chapter 2 introduces the three parts of the Advent Reclamation Project which are explained more fully in Chapters 3 through 5. Chapter 6 offers suggestions for other traditions that families or parish communities might choose to adopt as their own, and in the appendices, you will find resources to flesh out the earlier chapters."

This is such a neat little treasure of a book. This appears to be written from a Catholic perspective and leads to much more history on the purpose of the Advent Season. The Advent Reclamation Project uses the morning ritual (the Advent Calendar), evening ritual (Jess Tree & Advent Wreath), and the "good deeds manger" that bridge a gap between commercial Christmas and the religious observance of Advent.

I think this book is a great starting place to begin some great family traditions. Although this is suggested to be ageless, I think this year will be a little too early for my toddler, but future years definitely.
