A sweet story of love conquering

"There is a Facebook group for readers of Love Inspired books and they many giveaways for books. I won one of them and was given the choice of any of the August releases. It was a hard choice, but I decided to select one from an author who is new to me, A Soldier’s Prayer. I wasn’t sure what to expect and saw that there weren’t many reviews but it sounded intriguing.

Wow! I was so touched by the depth of emotion in this story! The grief of Cash’s nephew, Owen, had left him with selective mutism. I loved the way this precious five-year-old latched onto Monica and how she was so determined to help him if it was at all possible. Putting aside her own need for isolation to deal with the news of cancer that had her reeling, she helped Cash with the boys.

What I loved the most about this story was the spiritual aspect. As Cash and Monica struggled with age-old questions about how a God of love could allow grief and suffering, the truths shared were not trite. Nor did author Jenna Mindel make the process easy for anyone, instead bringing them through a realistic journey of discovery.

If you enjoy reading sweet romances with life changing truths, I recommend you read A Soldier’s Prayer. And you will probably, along with me, then want to read many more books by her!
