Coming Home (The Surrender Trilogy, #3)

by Lydia Michaels

The conclusion of the savage, sensual Surrender trilogy in which betrayal, pain, and vengeance threaten to destroy a passion between two damaged souls…

Evelyn “Scout” Keats thought she finally found her long-sought happiness in billionaire Lucian Patras. But even though Lucian has always treated her like a queen, she has discovered she is nothing more than a pawn in his own secret game.

Worse, her long-time friend and supposed shining knight, Parker Hughes has also used her for his own interests by playing a part in Lucian’s game. Everyone’s honor is suspect, and no one can be trusted. It is Scout’s worst nightmare come to life.

As she struggles to comprehend the cost of a broken heart and the value of love, she must choose, once and for all, how much her pride can endure—and how much she is willing to risk to be truly happy.

This was the last book in The Surrender Trilogy and what can I say...it was just fantastic! Lydia Michaels is a very talented writer and this third book just cemented that fact tenfold. She captured my imagination and made her characters feel so real that I could not help but fall in love with them a little more. They felt so real, I cried with them, laughed with them and got mad with them.

Lucian and Evelyn's story continues in the third book. Lucian, being a very dominant alpha male always gets what he wants, and it's never been hard. That is everything but the woman he loves, for her he will have to work even harder due to circumstances that he made for himself in the second book. Evelyn is tired of feeling like she is nothing but a possession and I have to give her credit in this book she really comes across as a woman who will not let anything stand in her way of getting what she wants either. In this book we see Lucian humbled quite a bit and Evelyn become the woman I knew she could be. Both make sacrifices and surrender themselves to each other in some form or another, but through that their love and passion for each other just grows. They must endure so much to be together and in this final book you learn so many things about why things were the way they were with some of the obstacles that they had to overcome to be together previously. The chemistry between them did not fade, in fact it just got more intense and the intimate sex scenes between the them just got better as the book and series went on. They were definitely made for each other, call it fate or something else, but they were destined to be together.

I am sorry the series is over because I enjoyed it that much. I truly enjoyed the way that Lydia Michaels was able to make this story come to life, her characters had so much depth that you could not help but feel like you knew them personally in the end. Would I recommend this book and the series? ABSOLUTELY! You have to read this series in order though, there would be no other way to get the full effect of the passion and depth of the book if you didn't. Thank you so much for sharing your stories with us! I can't wait to read more from this author.
