People describe this as a journey for our two main characters, Spencer and Dalton, and I think that is the best description. Spencer and Dalton meet by chance and become totally entrenched in each other's lives. They are best friends, but there was always more. The more would take time to happen because they both kept part of themselves hidden from the other. Dalton and Spencer's time apart was so painful and sad. I just kept rooting for them - to be able to move past what happened, to be able to escape from the lives they did not want and to be able to have the lives they wanted. Dalton won my heart with the way he showed his love, even though it was difficult and unnatural for him, he worked hard to show his love and dug deep to find his inner hero.
