At first, I wasn't sure if I liked Sadie. She seemed like she was living in a bit of a fantasy world. She had no direction with her career and was still hankering after her ex. her ex who was now happy with someone else. But as the book progressed and Saide grew on me. Saide has some trying times in this book and I really wanted to just give her a hug and a shoulder to cry on.
This book has all the hallmarks I've come to know and love with Tilly's writing. It was romantic, funny and with just the right amount of realism. Tilly writes not only a love story but a story of family and friendship.
This book is set in Sea Salt Bay, in Dorset. I absolutely loved the location. It's the perfect little seaside town. I also loved the little mention to another of Tilly's books Hattie's Home for Broken Hearts. Little things like this make me smile.
I feel like this story is unfinished. I'd love a sequel or maybe a book with Sadie's friends as the main characters.
