The Beast by Katee Robert

The Beast (Wicked Villains, #4)

by Katee Robert

Once upon a time, I fell in love with two men.

Gaeton, with his brash charm and casual cruelty.

Beast, his lust equal to his penchant for violence.

Their feelings for me were matched only by their hatred for each other. Being with them was sinful and perfect in different ways.

In the end, I couldn’t choose, and I lost them both.

Now, my sisters have tasked me with securing our power base, no matter the cost. I will do anything for my family—even if it means agreeing to the terms set by Gaeton and Beast.

The three of us. Together. But only for as long as it takes me to choose one of them once and for all.

When playing games of power, happily ever after isn’t a priority. Not even for me.

Especially not for me.

This was without a doubt my favorite book in this series so far! I loved it so much; I loved the characters, I loved their story, I loved how their relationship evolved, and I also enjoyed the secondary story. Some of the secondary stories in this series are a bit crazy, which this one was not, and it made a lot of sense.

This is a second-chance, hate-to-lovers polygamous love story. As in the rest of the books, most of this book is sex scenes! In the other book I did get to the point were I got a bit bored of it. But in this one I felt like all of the sex had something to say in the story. There was a point to every sex scene, mostly to do with the characters getting to realize what they want from each other.

I loved the portrait of the characters. You can really recognize personality traits from the Disney story. Gaeton who on the outside is really arrogant, but when we get his perspective, we see how insecure he is, and this facade is something he does to protect himself. Beast is of course a dom, and he kind of has a stern attitude. We get to know some of his backstory that explains why he is the way he is. Isabelle has always gotten everything she wanted, and she has been treated as a princess and put on a pedestal from Gaeton and Beast. She start out as an innocent woman, but who's also curious, and she quickly finds out that she gets a kick out of being wicked with Gaeton and Beast.
