Marriage of Inconvenience by Penny Reid

Marriage of Inconvenience (Knitting in the City, #7)

by Penny Reid

There are three things you need to know about Kat Tanner (aka Kathleen Tyson. . . and yes, she is *that* Kathleen Tyson): 1) She’s determined to make good decisions, 2) She must get married ASAP, and 3) She knows how to knit.

Being a billionaire heiress isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. Determined to live a quiet life, Kat Tanner changed her identity years ago and eschewed her family’s legacy. But now, Kat’s silver spoon past has finally caught up with her, and so have her youthful mistakes.

To avoid imminent disaster, she must marry immediately; it is essential that the person she chooses have no romantic feelings for her whatsoever and be completely trustworthy. Fortunately, she knows exactly who to ask. Dan O’Malley checks all the boxes: single, romantically indifferent to her, completely trustworthy. Sure, she might have a wee little crush on Dan the Security Man, but with clear rules, expectations, and a legally binding contract, Kat is certain she can make it through this debacle with her sanity—and heart—all in one piece.

Except, what happens when Dan O’Malley isn’t as indifferent—or as trustworthy—as she thought?

Waiting for a Penny Reid book to come out is just pure gold! I'm obsessed with all her books and series and I just have to have them all. I have a tendency to read books in series out of order and then I start from book 1 and go from there. Let's just say that I always hop on the train late, EVERY time. And that's how it was with the Knitting in the City series. I must say that I've been waiting for Dan and Kat. The day has come everyone, their book has arrived and there's just so much content for you to love.

I'm quite the fan of stories with the whole fake marriage, it's probably one of my favorites to read after second-chance romances. Obviously, we all know that these two were pretty attracted to each other and we've always kind of wondered why these two haven't quite gotten together yet.

Well the day has come, Kat dealing with an idiotic and manipulative cousin, a fake marriage is in order. With Dan not being her first choice or well not even an option, he becomes the ONLY choice. Once they were past being officially married, it was time to get to know each of these characters a bit more. And we discover the tip toeing around each other between these two.

And I loved every moment of it! There's just so much to love about these two especially the hot security man, Dan. The more you delve into this book, more about these two are revealed, all the feels come out.

If you're a fan of this series, you'll fall in love with this one! It might even become your current fave of Penny's books. I'm sad that this is the conclusion, it's definitely a series that I didn't want to end. But Penny did a fantastic job as always. My heart is happy!

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
