This book is better than I ever thought it would be and I loved reading it!

The Magician’s Workshop Volume 1 by Christopher Hansen and J.R. Fehr has more different point of views with more characters than what I’m used to. It was really good and I’m glad that I read it. The different character point of views are like mini books within the book which made it really awesome. The characters are all three dimensional and made me believe that they are real. I am glad that I was asked to read this book.

What I like about this book besides that the characters are three-dimensional and the chapters are like mini books: is that the world that the author has made for this book really does seem lifelike and that I believed it while I was reading the book. I also liked how everything that had happened in the book was real especially the punishments for anyone that breaks the rules. I also liked the troubles that the characters go through. It felt like some things that happened in the book was actually happening to me. Which is pretty awesome and not a whole lot of books can achieve that feeling.

What I didn’t like about this book is how the islanders blame everything that goes bad on the island on one young boy because of what his father did. I also really dislike the rules about orphans not being allowed to test until they are way older. This isn’t really fair as it doesn’t give them much of a chance to really prove themselves like the other kids are able to do.

The Magician’s Workshop Volume 1 by Christopher Hansen and J.R. Fehr is an awesome read and I can’t read to read volume 2. I hope it’s as good as the first book. I am also giving this book 5 stars since it’s really pretty awesome and I am also recommending it to any of my readers who read this genre.
