This was somewhere around 2 1/2 stars for me, so I'm rounding up. This was a great premise that sometimes disappointed, sometimes worked really well. Too much of it felt scattered, though, like the book was trying to be too many things. TWs all over the place for all kinds of stuff - it's not a cheery book. I wasn't happy with some of the non-#ownvoices rep, and kind of underwhelmed by the bi rep, but somehow it kept me reading and looking forward to the next page, especially toward the end.
