The Foxhole Court by Nora Sakavic

The Foxhole Court (All for the Game, #1)

by Nora Sakavic

Neil Josten is the newest addition to the Palmetto State University Exy team. He's short, he's fast, he's got a ton of potential—and he's the runaway son of the murderous crime lord known as The Butcher.

Signing a contract with the PSU Foxes is the last thing a guy like Neil should do. The team is high profile and he doesn't need sports crews broadcasting pictures of his face around the nation. His lies will hold up only so long under this kind of scrutiny and the truth will get him killed.

But Neil's not the only one with secrets on the team. One of Neil's new teammates is a friend from his old life, and Neil can't walk away from him a second time. Neil has survived the last eight years by running. Maybe he's finally found someone and something worth fighting for.

Edit: This series owns my heart, I have to give it 5 stars.

I flew through all three books of The Foxhole Court trilogy in the span of one night. As in, I literally did not sleep a wink. The pages totaled to something over 1,000, which I think is an all-time high for me within that time frame.

I want to kick my past self - why did I not pick up this series sooner?? Then I might not've spent all of January in a horrible soul-draining reading slump. If you've seen some reviewers rave about this series, but decided it probably wasn't for you, I urge you to give the first book a try. I am utterly addicted to this story and these characters, in that magical falling-in-love way that leaves you feeling special and like you've stumbled across a rare gem.

P.S. - It was also just really fun with well-written characters and story beats.
