What would you do if your child was fore told to be the savior of two races and taken from you to be raised by those you know very little bit about? I pretty sure you would do exactly as our main character Eva has done. Once betrothed to one prince that she did not love and then able to marry his twin who she adores and has a child of prophecy with. What unfolds in this story is a tale of heroics, love, and at the heart a child who is destined to save a dying race.
I have never read or heard anything about this book before picking up but i am a big fan of huge books. This one is over 700 pages and is the first in a series. I have no idea how many books will be in the series. I do know that the author does a fantastic job of laying out a heart wrenching tale. She establishes well the relationships between the various characters in the story. She does a fabulous job of describing the forest and the lands that are traveled by Eva as she journeys to reunite with her son and husband.
The tale is woven so that we get back story on characters and we begin to understand why the Kittarra are so desperate to have her son. The plots twists are well done and i felt the story was well paced there was no dragging and i am eager to see what happens in the following book.
