Harry Potter and the Cursed Child - Parts One and Two (Special Rehearsal Edition)

by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany, and Jack Thorne

Based on an original new story by J.K. Rowling, John Tiffany and Jack Thorne, a new play by Jack Thorne, Harry Potter and the Cursed Child is the eighth story in the Harry Potter series and the first official Harry Potter story to be presented on stage. The play will receive its world premiere in London's West End on 30th July 2016.

It was always difficult being Harry Potter and it isn't much easier now that he is an overworked employee of the Ministry of Magic, a husband, and father of three school-age children.

While Harry grapples with a past that refuses to stay where it belongs, his youngest son Albus must struggle with the weight of a family legacy he never wanted. As past and present fuse ominously, both father and son learn the uncomfortable truth: sometimes, darkness comes from unexpected places.

Okay first of all J.K. Rowling DID WRITE THIS. ON THE INSIDE FLAP OF THE BOOK IT SPECIFICALLY STATES THAT IT IS BASED ON AN ORIGINAL STORY BY J.K. Rowling. She did have help this time however I'm sure because she wanted to translate the play exactly as she saw it in her head and that is where Jack throne and John Tiffany came in. Now that that is cleared up. I absolutely loved this script/book/whatever you want to call it thing. It was just so amazing and hilarious and I am head over heels in love with Scorpius Malfoy. The funny thing is is I never thought I would really enjoy a book about the next generation because all I really want in life is a seires about a young Sirius Black basically a series about the Marauders. However I was extremely pleasantly surprised by how much I did enjoy this. I cried and laughed and just loved it. I can't wait to go see the play in March to see how all the spells and effects they will have to use will work. Anyways I hope you guys enjoy this beautiful little Jem as much as I did. Don't forget the magic never ends. It lives in us, all of us, the fans. Harry will always be around if we stay loyal to him. :)
