I must admit I rarely buy a book. I just don't have the budget for it. However, after I received and read a copy of The Confectioners Guild through NetGalley, I was so delighted with the author's work that I promptly bought or pre-bought all the available titles in this series. This was the first to deliver and it did not disappoint. Ms. Luana is definitely an author I will follow. This particular book was a nice bit of back story for one of the secondary characters in the aforementioned book. This is a rich and detailed world that isn't always easy to follow, but is definitely delightful to explore.
