A Court of Mist and Fury (Court of Thorns and Roses, #2)

by Sarah J. Maas

The # 1 New York Times bestselling sequel to Sarah J. Maas' spellbinding A Court of Thorns and Roses.

Feyre survived Amarantha's clutches to return to the Spring Court--but at a steep cost. Though she now has the powers of the High Fae, her heart remains human, and it can't forget the terrible deeds she performed to save Tamlin’s people.

Nor has Feyre forgotten her bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the feared Night Court. As Feyre navigates its dark web of politics, passion, and dazzling power, a greater evil looms--and she might be key to stopping it. But only if she can harness her harrowing gifts, heal her fractured soul, and decide how she wishes to shape her future--and the future of a world cleaved in two.

With more than a million copies sold of her beloved Throne of Glass series, Sarah J. Maas's masterful storytelling brings this second book in her seductive and action-packed series to new heights.

***AN AUDIO REVIEW***

I loved A Court of Mist and Fury. It was so different to my experience of listening to A Court of Thorn and Roses. I was never struggling to keep focused or bored with the pace. The characters, scenery and experiences were easy to picture. It was like meeting new people compared to the characters we met previously. I have increased my admiration for Feyre and decreased (to non-existence) my liking of Tamlin. I'm giving squinty eyes to Lucien because, even though he's been a douchewaffle, I haven't written him off completely...yet. The star of the show, holder of my "Court" heart is Rhysand. He's just spectacular. His band of merry followers...ummm...merry's probably not the right word, more like scary, were fantastic and I can't wait to know them more.

I listened to A Court of Mist and Fury while recovering from a cold. The best medicine ever. I will admit to struggling a little with being able to tell when a character was changing. Her male voices were all similar and not that different from the female characters.

I can't wait to start A Court of Wings and Ruin...soon...ish.
