Imagine living in a world where the threat of an alien race invasion is very real. Now imagine that you are a teenage boy who has already lost both parents, has a super-famous grandfather, and that you are being targeted for assassination.

Now that you have imagined all of that, I think you might want to take a look at Jon S Lewis's newest novel, Alienation. This fast-paced science-fiction novel is enough to keep any reader on the edge of their seat - whether you are a young adult, whom the novel is originally meant for, or an adult like myself. I did not want to put this book down!

When reading Alienation, the book is so well written that you forget there is a book that goes before it. I literally had no trouble following along even though I had not read the first book in the series, Invasion. This doesn't happen often. In my experience, most books that are part of a series do not fare well when read individually. Alienation is one of those few books that can be easily read on its own without needing to read the first book.

If you are looking for a book that is different from your normal Christian fiction, I highly suggest you try Alienation and its predecessor, Invasion.
