A Miracle at Macy’s

by Lynn Marie Hulsman

‘A romantic, festive and feel-good book with loads of heart and a sprinkling of Christmas magic’ – Cressida McLaughlin, author of ‘A Christmas Tail’

‘Christmas time or not, pick up this book. Lover of romance or not, pick up this book…It's captivating, comforting and a must read. I loved it.’ – Goodreads Reviewer

One lost dog. Two lonely hearts. A Manhattan Christmas full of magic.

Shy homebody Charlotte is planning her usual quiet Christmas celebration: Turkey for two for her and her beloved pet dog Hudson. Only, this year, little Hudson decides to take matters into his own paws and give his favourite human a holiday adventure she’ll never forget.

When Hudson runs away the week before Christmas, Charlotte is devastated. She’d rescued him from the trash years before and gave him a place in her home – and her heart. But with the help of uptight Englishman Henry, Charlotte ends up on a magical treasure hunt around Manhattan to find her furry, four-legged bestie.

Spotted in Central Park as one of Santa's Little Helpers, or last seen in the arms of a supermodel in Times Square, Hudson leads Charlotte and Henry on a very merry dance around the Big Apple, where love, (or should that be Christmas?!) actually is all around.

'Home Alone 2: Lost in New York' meets 'Marley & Me' with the romance of 'When Harry Met Sally'! This is the story of shy homebody Charlotte who loses her beloved pet dog Hudson the week before Christmas. With the help of uptight Englishman Henry, Charlotte goes on a magical treasure hunt around Manhattan to find her furry, four-legged bestie, who she rescued from the trash years before and gave him a place in her home – and her heart.

Thank you to Harper Impulse for accepting my request to review this book via Netgalley. I am a big dog lover and Christmas is my favourite time of year so I knew I had to read this book.

The book begins with Charlotte and Hudson taking a walk around the local area. A few days later Hudson goes missing in Central Park and Charlotte is devastated. Hudson is everything to her and without him she feels like she has no one.

Charlotte runs herself ragged trying to find Hudson. Along the way she makes a lot of new friends and has experiences she would have never had.

This festive filled story will warm even the coldest of hearts. I really enjoyed this book and I look forward to reading more of Lynn's books in the future.
