This book pretty much follows the basic story, the essence of Anne and Henry. I really enjoyed looking for he parts of the original Anne and Henry story and seeing how the author adapted these elements in her re-telling. She painted a convincing picture of this man obsessed with this woman. The way Henry abandoned his previous life to follow Anne. Why 3.5 stars? I would say there were some gaps for me and the pacing was a little off. However, I really did enjoy many parts of the book. I thought the closing was done quite well, and Anne and Henry were compelling MCs.
