I haven't read many of the Marvel comic books/graphic novels, mainly because there are so many of them and I don't have the time or money to get into them to do the whole Marvel Universe the credit it deserves. I saw Thor: Ragnarok on Saturday and when I got home I noticed this on our bookshelves. It's one we got second-hand at Bearly Used Books and I always intended to get round to reading it eventually. So, what better time than after seeing the latest movie, which was really great.

This volume contains parts 1-6 of this story, so I really need to try and get my hands on volume 2 next. Without giving anything away, this story happens after the events of Thor: Ragnarok, as it references some things that happened in the movie. The story takes place in Oklahoma, with Thor going around looking for the lost gods of Asgard. The artwork is great and the story moves along well. Sometimes it's hard to get the picture of the cinematic versions of the characters out of your mind, but I didn't find that much with this one.

If you're a big fan of the Marvel comics, chances are you've read this one already. If not, then it is worth checking out.
