**AN ARC WAS PROVIDED FOR AN HONEST REVIEW. ALL OPINIONS ARE MY OWN**

This is my first misadventures book and I know very little about them. The first time I’ve heard about the misadventures book was when I attended RARE London 2018, they had free copies from some authors that were new to me. I’ve read Toni Aleo before, so I was definitely on board for reading this one. You gotta love Toni Aleo’s sports romance especially her hockey series!

Let me just start off by saying that I had a bit of a love-hate relationship with Gus and Bo. I couldn’t handle them at times throughout the book, but it gets better as you make your way through their story. Gus is definitely a cocky SOB and you’ll probably hate his arrogant self, it had me guessing how he would turn into someone we’d love. He starts to grow on you as you learn more about him and that it takes the right person to bring out his true likable self; that’s Bo.

I struggled a bit with liking Bo, she’s has a hard exterior dealing with mistakes she claimed to make in her past. After she thought she had the love of her life, he chose the NHL over her and she has never been able to get past that. Her walls went up never to trust or date anyone who plays hockey. It’s a hard reminder for her.

As Bo and Gus dive into something that’s supposed to be fun, feelings get deeper and things change for the both of them. But it’s a lot harder for Bo to just give in and take a chance with Gus even when he proves time and time again that he wants nothing more than her.

I didn’t like that Bo wouldn’t constantly use the pain of her past and the mistakes of another guy to pin things on Gus, it wasn’t fair to him when he did nothing. He’s had his bachelor days, sowed his wild oats, he’s a rookie, but is extremely great at the sport.

Although it wasn’t my favorite hockey romance of hers, I still enjoyed it. This book gets better as you keep you reading, I struggled with it in the beginning, but it was a happy ever after for the both of them. I was hoping for an epilogue because I need to know more!
