I never read My Perfect Mistake, which is where Lily and Sawyer met. I was glad it was mentioned in this book so I could know about their situation a little bit. When I started this book, I realized Lily had a boyfriend. According to her, she wasn't in love with him anymore, she didn't feel anything romantic towards him, not like she did with Sawyer. I was so glad that Lily knew her relationship needed to end and there was no drama surrounding that aspect of her life. She made the decision very early in the story, which I was so happy about.

I'll take all six feet, the sandy hair, brown eyes, wide shoulders, and lean body to go. With an extra dimple and sexy smile on the side, please.

Lily is a quiet, sweet and caring woman, but she has a secret. She's a compulsive shopper and hoarder, something so very serious. I had never read anything concerning this mental illness in books, so when I came across this particular aspect of the story, I was surprised. I felt Lily's nervousness when it came to this aspect of her life. For her to be going through this alone was really sad. I desperately wanted to know more about it and wanted to see how the author would continue to portray Lily with this illness. I have to say that Kelly Siskind did a great job.

My job will be to keep her together, be there for her [...] Help her heal. Make her laugh.

What can I say about Sawyer? The man is able to make anybody swoon. I think just by a glance he can make any woman swoon. I was happy to see that he never shied away from his feelings towards Lily once they got together. He always knew he had those feelings and never tried to undermine them. What made all of it sad was that he didn't think he was good enough for her due to his family's track record with relationships. Seeing Sawyer's vulnerable side made me want to hug him so tight. His need and want to protect Lily showed his immense love for her. I was so rooting for them!

Lily has hijacked my brain. Lily and her white-blond hair and pink lips and hypnotic gray eyes.

Lily and Sawyer's time together is definitely something I completely loved and enjoyed! They would be so honest and carefree with one another. Right from the beginning, there was honesty. It's so rare to find that in couples, yet they would open up about their fears, their private life, even what they wanted to do to each other. Kind of makes you want to be as blunt as they were with your significant other ;) It was so refreshing to read their story as a couple and how they would tread the waters of this new relationship. They were so head-over-heels in love with each other and their love is so palpable through the pages of the story.

I've never clicked with a woman the way I do with Lily. We are effortless, like floating down a ski slope in a foot of powder.

Reading this book definitely made me want to read the first book of this series, not only for the couple but also for the unbelievably tight friendship that Shay, Lily and Raven have. You would think they were sisters! Their friendship is one I would love love love to have! They are there for each other 24/7.

Every step in life, good or bad, takes us where we need to go.

Overall, A Fine Mess is the perfect romance book for all you lovers of this genre. It definitely has it's sexy moments laced with adorable moments that you will love.
