Lyric and Quinn, along with his twin Oliver, grew up next door to each other. While Lyric and Olivier were tight with each other, Quinn and Lyric had the ups and downs of a passionate love/hate relationship. Not much has changed now that they are adults, other than than know what their passion for each other feels like. Quinn's back home trying to make amends to the people he cares about and hoping he'll be ringing in the New Year with the only woman he's ever cared about.

I'm a sucker for a holiday story where the boy next door ends up with the girl next door. Even better...have it happen around the holidays. I really enjoy the both Quinn and Lyric. I enjoyed their interactions with each other and felt like their chemistry jumped off the page. What I didn't like with this one was how the girl next door, Lyric, kept a HUGE secret from the boy next door, Quinn, and he forgave her like it was nothing! ARGH! I know it's fiction and it's supposed to be fun, but this one wrapped up a little too neatly for me.

This is a short read and it had me hooked until the very end. Then I wanted to throw my iPad gingerly onto the couch cushion next to me.
