The Churn by James S. A. Corey

The Churn (Expanse, #3.5)

by James S. A. Corey

The Churn is a novella that expands the world of James S. A. Corey's New York Times bestselling Expanse series - now a Prime Original TV series.

Before his trip to the stars, before the Rocinante, Amos Burton was confined to a Baltimore where crime paid you or killed you. Unless the authorities got to you first.

The Expanse series:
Leviathan Wakes
Caliban's War
Abaddon's Gate
Cibola Burn
Nemesis Games
Babylon's Ashes
Persepolis Rising
Tiamat's Wrath

Very nice backstory of one of the Rocinante's core characters, but I had a bit of a hard time getting into it (maybe because my mind was already set for book 4?). The end was pretty cool though.
