This was my favorite volume yet!
(I think I say that after each one :-P)
Such incredible, fantastical, unique, BEAUTIFUL story & art!
& WYVERNS, guys!!! WYVERNS!
EVIL ELVES!
AIR SHIPS!
A MAGICAL FLOATING CITY IN THE SKY!
Also we finally get a look at the... erm... super creepy looking... thing... in Emily’s amulet (don’t wanna spoil anything so i’ll leave it at that), which was a super satisfying reveal!
Just an ominous voice no more!
We have an ominous ‘face’ to go with the ominous voice!

Sometimes dark & magical;
sometimes whimsical;
always fantastical!
I really loved the events of this volume- the good, the bad, & the ugly!
the emotional stuff
the new [tentative] friendships
the growing & maturing of Emily & Navin as the story progresses... the more that unfolds, the more invested I become.

And seriously Hayao Miyazaki fans... THIS. IS. FOR. YOU.
The art is so similar and gives me such a similar feeling of wonder. The storyline as well.

All in all- SOLID VOLUME! Exceeded expectations, even, to say the least!
Cannot WAIT to see what comes next! This series is so addicting; when I’m reading I am absolutely glued to the pages and my brain goes into overdrive & I end up reading it too fast! I want to savor it more!

[ Let’s be real for a moment, here, though... when it comes to patience & taking my time... not my strong suit. I tend to devour things; instant gratification always wins. ]

I only have read the first three volumes of
this series thus far, and it has already carved a permanent little home in my heart & gotten all cozy there.
Like, its taken it upon itself to have a designated drawer at my place, already, level of cozy
