This is the first graphic novels I have ever read or reviewed, so being my first I prayed that I would like it. Well, what can I say, I really enjoyed it! The illustration was fantastic the whole way through and the story was just as good and I found myself completely engaged throughout.

Esemtu Vol. 1 follows three University students, Ethan, Isabella and Dave, each is studying different subjects, in Vienna. Dave’s refugee friend is murdered, but not before ancient artefacts are stolen from him. The trio works together to find the artefacts but they find a hell of a lot more besides.

The ending to this graphic novel left off on a cliff hanger, awaiting Vol. 2? I am excited to see what will happen next.

If you have never picked up a graphic novel before, or are looking for a good storyline within a graphic novel, then I totally recommend it.
