This is my second book by Stevens, and I have to say, she knows how to write those bad boys with hearts of gold. I quickly became a fan of Xander, and thought he and Holly were fantastic together.

Yes, this was a little bit of a Romeo and Juliet, West Side Story kind of romance, with a hero and a heroine from rival cliques joining together. Some of the clique drama was a bit OTT, but I thought it was fantastic how Holly was better able to assess herself and her relationships once she broke away from her group. She gained so much perspective on herself and other people, and she also began to reprioritize things too.

There was great chemistry and banter between Holly and Xander, some fierce friendships, and even a little bit of family focus too.
