OK, I'm going to start off with saying I pulled a reading foul with this series ... I have not read the first book in this series. I know, I'm the worst, but to be honest, I actually prefer the order that I've read them in. Once I catch up with some other books I need to get through, I'll be starting from the beginning.

Guys, I love this series soooo much! I was a bit nervous to read Broken Love Story because I kept wondering how Blake and Samantha's story would work without getting unbelievably messy. But that wasn't the case at all, Natasha wrote their story flawlessly and it turned out to be quite the unique one ... one that I can't say I've read before. One that I absolutely loved and adored. One that I was completely enamored with!

If you're reading this review, keep in mind that this is the 3rd book in the Love Series, it is a standalone but I highly advise (even though I haven't read the first one yet) reading the books in order.

Being nervous was a complete understatement when I started this book. After finishing Unexpected Love Story, we get a little glimpse of Samantha and the absolutely heart-wrenching situation she ends up in. I was eager yet unsure about her character, but my goodness, I absolutely loved her. She was a character that I admired so much because of EVERYTHING she's been through. Not only with her husband, but being born a crack baby and growing up through the horrible system as an orphan. There's nothing great about her situation and none of it her fault. But the best thing that her husband gave her is their two girls that she'd do anything for.

When it came to Blake and Samantha's story, I definitely admired hers the most. How do you pick up your life and remain strong (not only for yourself but for your daughters) when the one person who was supposed to love and protect you didn't do that all? When a family who you thought was yours turns the other way and leaves you alone and completely deserted? I'd say Samantha was at her lowest, but I loved her journey of finding her normal again and finding her voice. I loved how Blake fit into her normal almost seamlessly. Like they were two broken souls who were always meant to find each other.

Just like Samantha, Blake understands love and loss, he had it all and he's still harboring all that pain even though it has been years. But once he meets Blake and sees her for the first time, there was just something about her that always brought his thoughts back to her.

I loved witnessing their unique friendship/relationship form in the aftermath of such a heartbreaking situation. Both going through completely different situations but having each other was necessary for their healing. Starting off as complete strangers, finding themselves calling and texting each other, being completely open and honest with each other. Samantha needed answers, she needed the truth and Blake was the one to give it to her. I loved how protective he became over her from the very beginning, it shows you the kind of guy that Blake is. He's a solid dude and so perfect for Samantha.

This book is the definition of everything happens for a reasonAny questions that you might have had throughout this series when it came to them will be answered. It was so easy to fall in love with not only the both of them, but their story.

The ONE thing that I thought was unnecessary was that little twist, in the end, I wasn't quite expecting it and wished it wasn't in the story, but I'm not crying over it either.

Anyways, loved this read and highly recommend!

P.S. Samantha's in-laws can go suck an egg! ALL OF THEM!
