Another great issue from X-23. I like how they keep finding these larger plots involving clones to work with. I would never have believed that they could get away with what they’ve done, or that the core concept would still be interesting after all this time…but it is.
Laura is a great character, as is her sister. Pitting that against the situation they’re in is a good call. It forces them to evaluate their opinions/morals, while also making us question the same thing. It’s an interesting and intelligent choice.
This issue was mostly along that vein of thinking, combined with some action. There wasn’t a lot of humor here – though I did smile a few times for different reasons (as I said, I like the girls). I can’t wait for the next issue to come out though – I’ve got to see how far they’re going to push this.
