The difference between need and want.

I hear and read a lot about women being independent and not needing a man in their life. Cool. Happy for you. Glad you're strong enough to carry the load on your own. Here's the thing...you may not need a man but there is nothing wrong with wanting someone to share your load. It's nice to have someone at your back, or to talk to when you're having a good or bad day.

Finding the right person to want is not always easy. Sometimes you have to get it wrong before you get it right. Unfortunately, getting it wrong can make you hesitate to keep searching for the right one. There are no rules when it comes to finding what you want. You can even find the right one, when on paper, they look wrong. Before I Ever Met You is about finding the right one after the wrong one and learning that what you want can eventually turn into a need...and that's OK.

Before I Met You was a steamy read that kept my interest from start to finish. The characters were lovable and a little battered. Their strength and determination to move on after heartbreak was admirable. I envied them to be honest. I'm not sure I would have the strength to trust my heart to someone new after what they had suffered through.

I will be honest and admit that I am surprised I loved it as much as I did. There's a significant age difference between the main characters with the hero more than ten years her senior. Luckily, the hero made it extremely easy to get past it and the heroine was mature for her age.

I really enjoyed this love story and finished with a big grin on my face.
