Quickie Thoughts

I actually really liked the story here. Well, liked probably isn't the right word, but these dark, disturbing, totally insane stories really draw me in. The whole family is severely screwed up and Mia just can't escape them. However, the time line is a huge mess. I thought everything happened way too fast, and didn't make for a believable case of Stockholm Syndrome, especially since we don't witness all of those early days due to time jumps. Also, the actual time line was inaccurate, which I found odd since the chapters are labeled by what day it was. For instance, five weeks passed within 24 days, and then nine days passed with six. I stopped paying attention to the chapter days after that. I still read it in one sitting though, since I couldn't help but want to know what screwed up thing happened next.
