The backstory on Nyx and her family was interesting. Though admittedly Nyx is one of my weak points in lore, so I honestly don’t know how much they altered to make it work. Maybe somebody that knows more about it can step in and inform us? Otherwise I’ll make a point of doing my own research in a bit.
It did tie in well with what was happening in the present on the whole though. It made it feel more real – something it had been lacking before this point. I really didn’t have any reason to care about those gods dying, beyond the fondness I had for them based on legends, not the comics. This sort of changes things.
